Directing our RSCM Festival 2022

On Sunday 16th October, we held our local Royal School of Church Music’s Area Choirs’ Festival in St Mary’s Hitchin.

Over 160 singers from Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire took part and I directed the singing with Alan Childs at the organ.

Sunday – Parish Eucharist in St Albans Cathedral, All Souls’ Remembrance in St Lawrence, Abbots Langley, Evensong in St Nicholas Church, Harpenden

Monday – Evensong in St Albans Cathedral for Papplewick School

The night before Lockdown, November 2020, the Parish Singers had a one-hour recording session in the nave. All one-offs. This was the final item recorded at 8.54pm for a 9pm finish.
